 Nothing to give away?
 Premiums - worth a million bucks!

Dear ,

Having marketed loads of various products and services through email, we understand what has a better chance of success.

  1. People will always react to incredible bargains.
  2. "Free" is one of the greatest advertising words ever created.

How do you get more people to open your email, and more importantly read it?

Think out of the inbox

One main function of email Marketing is to make your email standout from all the clutter we receive on a daily basis. So the first point to consider is what you will write in the subject line. This will be the first line of information your customers will see in their inbox. This may ultimately decide if they open your email. For instance.. What do you think sounds better;

  1. Free membership
  2. Free membership for first 50 to reply

Point 2will actively provide you with a higher rate of click throughs. "Urgency" is always a good tactic to keep in mind. If a promotion is running for a limited time, you will receive a higher strike rate, quicker!

Ok-so what do I offer if I don't have anything to give away?

Rule no. 1 - Don't ever give away anything without getting something in return!

Even if you provide a discount on a product or service its better to give away something small as its better to get something back rather than nothing at all - it goes with the saying "10% of something is better than 10% of nothing". Well of course you must make sure you are definitely making a profit.

And keep in mind that its not just about offering a discount, its about building your database - now that's a priceless tool. A good tactic is to get your customers to "refer a friend" and then they receive the discount or free item/service. Now that's something!

Premiums - worth a million bucks!

A premium is a promotional product or tool and you can purchase premiums for as little as $1 ea. It's important to purchase items with a perceived high value. And it doesn't even matter if the premium has no relation to your products or services - as long as they are items that you know your customers would love.
